•Shaving & Waxing should be done 2 days before your session; therefore it will allow the hair follicles-pores to close back up before getting your tan. Shaving & waxing right before your appointment will affect the tanning application by your pores being open and collecting the solution by causing tiny brown spots.

• We suggest manicures/pedicures, hair appointments, and massage appointments should be done before your tanning appointment.

• An airbrush spray tan only affects the top layer of your skin. Your skin has a layer of dead skin cells on top of it and the thicker the layer, the sooner your tan will rub off.

• When you exfoliate, the layer will be very thin, and it will take a while for it to build up again. Exfoliate gently with a loofah, or exfoliating mitt 2 days prior to your tanning appointment with a non-oil based product or moisturizing ingredients. Avoid any bar soap, a body wash will be okay. Exfoliating as much as possible will remove the dead skin which usually flakes off and will promote an even lasting tan. When exfoliating, pay special attention to your knees, legs, ankles, elbows, and knuckles, and on top of feet. Don't exfoliate harshly because that can affect your tan.

• It is best to use a good, hydrating lotion on your skin. When your skin is hydrated, the tanning solution will absorb like it should. Avoid lotions that contain mineral oil in it.

Day of Your Tan:

• For the best results, it is best to shower and exfoliate your skin. Remove any body lotion, moisturizers, perfume, deodorant, and makeup. These items create a barrier which the tanning solution will not absorb on your skin. Spraying tanning over deodorant can result in a green ring around the armpit and is difficult to remove. IF you have very dry skin apply a minimal amount of lotion lightly and evenly onto the dry skin area at least 2 hours prior to your sunless tan.

• Not rinsing off thoroughly will affect the outcome of your tan. When soap, lotion, or perfume residue is left on the skin, it creates that area not being able to tan; therefore it looks like a white spot.

• Make sure your skin is completely dry from your shower. If it's not, your tan will not absorb properly and will peel off.

• Please wear dark loose fitting clothing for after your tan while it's developing; no jeans, tight fitting clothes, tube tops/tube dresses or tops with straps. With tight fitting clothes, the fabric will cause friction causing your tan to make marks. The bronzer may get on clothing/sheets but it usually washes off. It may stain silk, nylon, or spandex.
